First published in 1857, this is Baudelaire’s classic work of poetry centered around decadence and eroticism and much revered by the symbolist and modernist movements. This edition contains the six poems which were banned in earlier editions in France. With wonderful color illustrations by Adolf Reinhold Hallman (1893-1968), a Swedish illustrator of books, magazines and newspapers. He also illustrated Guy de Maupassant's Boule de Suif (1941) and Voltaire's Candide (1946).
