London: Privately Printed. 1903, 1911, 1912. First Editions. Hardcover. Octavo. All volumes bound in blue cloth with gilt title to upper right front panel. Vol I (Rosicrucian Books): Introduction by Westcott. This volume limited to 300 copies, this being #272 and signed by F. Leigh Gardner. Frontis image of Johannes Valentinus Andrea. xi + 82 pp. Vol II: (Astrological Books): Frontis image of William Lilly. xx (History of Astrology by Westcott) + 164 pp. Vol III: (Freemasonry): Preface by Westcott. [ii] + 37 pp. Complete sets are very rare. Corner bumps and edge wear to all volumes. Rosicrucian volume has faint handwritten title and author to spine, bookseller's ticket to pastedown, former owner's bookplate has been removed, hinges starting but binding sound. All in all a very good set.

A classic set of works by Gardner, who was a member of both the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, and the Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia. He was a close associate of W. Wynn Westcott, who contributed to all three volumes of this work. These bibliographical volumes remain an exceptional reference source for occult scholars.
