Slug & Lettuce was a newsprint punk zine which first started in State College, Pennsylvania by Christine Boarts in 1987. In 1989 the newspaper was published from New York. It concentrated on do-it-yourself ethics of the punk community. Issues featured DIY/anarcho punk themes pertaining to anti-authoritarian politics, vegetarian/vegan action, radical parenting, DIY culture, gardening and activism. Much of the band photography was by Christina Boarts. This issue features plenty of music and zine reviews.
