Specializing in Rare and Antiquarian Books on the Occult and more.

Magic and the Occult

I offer a broad selection of new, rare, out-of-print, and antiquarian books with an emphasis on the magical arts. On this site you will find grimoires as well as historical and scholarly works on ritual magic, books pertaining to witchcraft, demonology, alchemy, ancient esoterica, forgotten and curious lore, and more. I also list the books featured here, plus many non-occult titles, on Biblio.com. They can be browsed and searched HERE.

Please note that many of my occult acquisitions are first offered to clients who have provided me with their want lists. If there are specific authors, titles, or subject areas you are interested in, consider sending me your list. I can be reached at (rarebooks@airpost.net). Those who sign up for my mailing list always get first notice of special sales, and other timely information. Click on the mailing list link above in order to sign up.

About Richard Bishop

I've been buying and selling rare and antiquarian books since 1997. I opened a tiny brick and mortar store in 2001 which was located in Seattle's historic Pioneer Square district. I eventually closed the shop (years before it became popular) and I've been operating as an online bookseller ever since. I also exhibit regularly at book fairs. I am a current member of the IOBA (Independent Online Booksellers Association), and am a 1998 graduate of the Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (now in its 41st year). Below you will find a recent interview I did with The Skeptical Occultist blog. It provides a bit more background, and at the same time, allows me to share some of my thoughts and experiences concerning the book trade.
