Gilt titles and crescent moon shield device to spine. Bevelled edges. Foldout map of Arabia as frontispiece. xx + 132 + 505pp, plus index (paginated thus: 659-670). 5 plates (3 engraved genealogical charts, and engraved plan and view of the Temple at Mecca) contained on 3 additional foldouts. This volume is complete, containing all 114 surahs (chapters). There is a delightful old bookseller’s ticket to front pastedown (J. Francis Ruggles, Ye Bibliopoloexperto, of Bronson, Michigan - see photo). 

Small mark to front board, and to spine. Mild rubbing to cloth. A couple of faint coffee cup rings to back panel. Sound binding. Some offsetting from one of the folding plates to facing page. This remains a very good copy.
