Book Four Parts I and II (xerox copy of a ‘typescript’)

No place, publisher information, or date. Sheets are 8.5 x 11 inches and are bound into an older three-ring binder (see photos). Part I: 82 pages, Part II: 152 pages. All pages printed on recto only. Quite the oddity, this one.

Pages are clean and free of marks except for the first and last pages in the binder which show some light foxing. Inner hinge areas of binder show some rusting along metal bracket which secures the pages in the binder. The first page (title page of Part I) is loose. Black cloth tape along hinges of binder. Some wear to the folder, heavier along edges. All in all, this remains a very good copy of a peculiar item.

This is a xerox copy of a 'typescript,' however, there are no erratic spacings or mistakes that would often appear if an old typewriter was used. It may have been generated on an electric typewriter or a word processor. The text is double spaced. Sentences which were in bold type in all original publications of the book(s) are typed with extra spaces between letters. In addition, all words in italics in the original publications are underlined here. There are no contents pages or photographs included for either part. Part I (on Mysticism) includes all of the mantric musical notations and an illustration (added in afterwards). Part II concerns Ceremonial Magick. There are no illustrations to Part II. The glossary of terms is included at the end of the volume. The typed text includes all footnotes but a few of the published footnotes contained Hebrew letters. These areas have been left blank. The full text of both parts appear to be complete. It is possible that this was typed directly from printed editions of both parts, perhaps to be used as a study aid for a particular magical group. Until the first reprint of parts I and II in 1969, these works were likely not easily obtainable. The date of when this was made remains unknown.
